Comprehensive Assessments
Each of us is the sum of our experiences in life. The secret is discovering how those experiences interrelate. The Balm Center offers clinical counseling and human services assistance in the areas described below.
Comprehensive Assessments
At The Balm Center, assessment services are provided by qualified, licensed professionals in accordance with their education, specialized training, professional scope of practice, and applicable state laws. Psychologists, Licensed Professional Counselors (LPCs), Licensed Clinical Social Workers (LCSWs), and supervised clinicians may conduct mental health and diagnostic assessments using clinical interviews, behavioral observations, and appropriate standardized screening and psychometric instruments to evaluate mental health symptoms, establish clinical diagnoses, and guide treatment planning.
Comprehensive psychological and psychoeducational evaluations involving high-complexity standardized psychological testing are conducted by appropriately trained and licensed psychologists or supervised psychologists who are qualified to administer, interpret, and integrate specialized instruments assessing cognitive, intellectual, personality, emotional, behavioral, and academic functioning.
The type of assessment provided and the professional conducting it are determined by the referral question, clinical needs, required qualifications, and applicable licensing regulations. Please review the types of comprehensive assessments on their subpages to determine the right service for you.
